Apple 03:57
Heavenly sweetness, I'm ready for your love Perfection in nectar, you're coming from above Speak through the trees Slip into me, into me, into me All is received You are all I need Loveliness enters, my eyes they fill with tears Now and forever, I'll love you all my years Don't ever leave I want to be, want to be, want to be Only yours No one else. Nothing more. In the morning In the morning in the morning in the morning in the morning in the morning in the morning in the morning we are on the grass the grass the grass the grass the grass the grass the grass

Tulip 03:35
Sting me with your lips I'll be so good Waiting for you pluck me up I wish you would Sweet Sap. Open Mouth. Bend down. Kiss it out, Suck it fast and sharp. I'll make no sound. Pluck me up cause you're already mine. And I'm waiting for you, yea, you take your time My petals soft and sticky from the bees Filling up your garden Worship from your knees Touch me, baby Stroke me. Move me Breathe me in, that's how you choose me My soft nerves, they feel your kisses Oxygen inside my limbs is making me feel so excited Drinking sunlight Bursting, blooming upwards to the dreamy skies I'm bathing in the deep blue silence... Trying to ignore me but I know that you're aware When you suck me up oh I can feel it in my hair Flying on the cloud while I am still here on the ground My pleasure is so deep that I don't even make a sound 3X
3.
Potato 02:06
I can feel my body sinking slowly, deeply Feel you all around me Heard the strangest sound Soft and high like bellbirds screaming from above Cracks and bolts and snaps and oh this must be love Control me, Control me, Control me From discarded seeds I I take root, flourish, hybridize Say the word, say the word, "Don't move, don't move!" Hybrids and mutations Warmly humid air Scent of dirt and water I am different here
4.
Marijuana 02:43
Feel my hands glide across my skin Feel my tongue touch my lips, tastin Body transparent, I let everything in Can't imagine anything deeper than bein Open to you 4X Cool my fire like a bubbling spring Head to toe, the heat is so consuming Love me without pity I'm touched and touching Mixing without losing myself while breathing that's how I'm being Open to you 4X What I penetrate I'm penetrated by My mind's not mine I'm so alive Everything around me's also deep inside I'm open wide

about

Inspired by the book The Botany of Desire by Michael Pollan with lyric influence from The Story of O by Anne Desclos this EP details the inner longings and amorous entanglements of four different plants. An apple enraptured by a tree, a tulip inside an orgy of bees, a potato transcendent after being dominated, marijuana merging with soft skin. Get under the soil...

"For those of you who want something fresh and different....this delicate indietronica piece combines minimalistic sound design with gentle, velvety vocals...Emma, just like a fairy, sprinkles some magic in our ears..." -Stereofox

"'Tulip' starts with a Laurie Anderson style minimalist electronica loop before blossoming (sorry, couldn’t resist) into a layered vocal sound bath, and eventually a slinky experimental jam not unlike FKA Twigs or Solange’s more esoteric work. It’s a different type of sexy than what we usually get in an r&b jam, more buzz and pollinate than bump and grind, but still steamy none the less".- Postacrd Elba
